Phototherapy

Therapeutic photography is a practice that uses photography as a tool for expression, personal reflection, and the development of emotional well-being. It does not replace medical or psychological therapy, but can be used as a complement to personal or group support.

This approach is based on the idea that taking, viewing or commenting on photos can help to:

  • Expressing emotions that are difficult to verbalize,

  • Strengthen self-esteem and self-image,

  • Stimulate memory and the narration of one's personal history,

  • Promote dialogue, introspection or reconstruction after a life event (bereavement, trauma, transition, etc.),

  • Create a space for sharing and recognition in a caring environment.
